UESF LOCAL 61 SCHOOL SITE BUILDING REPRESENTATIVE:
SITE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
1. ATTEND ALL UESF MIDDLE SCHOOL AND UESF ASSEMBLY MEETINGS EACH MONTH
2. ATTEND AND CHAIR EACH UBC AND UBC/ADM MEETING
3. ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE IN EACH UESF BUILDING REPRESENTATIVE TRAINING
4. ENFORCE EACH CONTRACT ARTICLE ON BEHALF OF EACH CLASSIFIED AND
CERTIFICATED MEMBER WITH DILIGENCE
5. ENFORCE EACH SITE CLASSIFIED AND CERTIFICATED MEMBERS' CONTRACTUAL
RIGHTS AND WORKING CONDITION ON BEHALF OF EACH MEMBER ACCORDING TO
CONTRACT WITH VIGILANCE, NO MATTER THEIR OWN BELIEF ON EACH MATTER,
CONCERN OR POSSIBLE GRIVANCE/COMPLAINT.
6. ACT AS LIAISON WITH SCHOOL SIT E AND SFUSD ADMINISTRATION ON BEHALF
OF EACH CLASSIIED AND CERTIFICATED MEMBER.
7. REPRESENT EACH CLASSIFIED AND CERTIFICATED DURING MEETINGS WITH
SCHOOL SITE AND SFUSD ADMINSTRATOR TO RESOLVE SITE MEMBRSHIP CONCERNS,
COMPLAINTS AND/OR GRIEVANCES TO TH BEST O THEIR ABILITY.
8. SURVEY AND POLL EACH SCHOOL SITE MEMBERS' CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS
REGARDING SCHOOL SIT E AND SUSD ADMINISTRATIV PROPOSALS AND/OR ACTIONS.
9. INSURE EACH SCHOOL SITE MEMBER IS CLEARLY INFORMED OF SCHOOL SIT AND
SFUSD ADMINISTRATIVE PROPOSALS, ACTIONS AND DIRECTIVES TO OBTAIN AND
ACCURATELY REPRESENT THE CONSENSUS OF SCHOOL SITE MEMEBRSHIP REGARDING
EACH.
10. MAINTAIN OPEN COMMUNICATIONS WITH SCHOOL SITE ADMINSTRATORS TO
VIGILANTLY RESOLVE ALL CONCERNS WITHIN UESF/SFUSD CONTRACT REQUIREMNTS
AND TO THE BENEFIT OF ACH SITE MEMBER.
11. ATTEND UESF EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETINGS TO REPRESENT THE CONSENSUS
CONCERNS OF SITE MEMBERSHIP REGARDING PROPOSED POLICY AND CONTRACT
NEGOTIATION WITH SFUSD.
12. PARTICIPATE IN EACH SCHOOL SITE ACADEMIC AND SITE MEETING TO
VIGILANTLY REPRESENT AND PROTECT EACH MEMBERS CONTRACTUAL RIGHTS AS
WRITTEN.
13. WORK TO INSURE THAT SITE BUDGET IS UTILIZED TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE
CURRENT POSITIONS, AS WLLL AS TO INSURE ADDITIONAL FUNDS ARE FIRST
UTILIZED TO PROTECT EACH POSITION AND ADD POSITIONS PREVIOUSLY LOST
THROUGH PAST LAYOFFS TO MEET SITE ACADEMIC AND BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS
ACCORDING TO THE LETTER AND INTENT OF FEDERAL, STATE, SFUSD BOARD,
SFUSD ADMINISTRATIVE LAWS, REGULATIONS, POLICIES, DIRECTIVES AND
GUIDELINES, WHICH WILL PROMOTE THE CONTINUED PROGRESS OF OUR STUDENT
POPULATION.
14. MAINTAIN OPEN COMMUNICATIONS WITH ALL UESF FACULTY AND STAFF
MEMBERS ON A DAILY BASIS TO INSURE THEIR OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS,
COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS ARE COMMUNICATED TO THE APPROPRIATE BODY FOR
RESOLUTION TO THE BENEFIT OF ALL.
15. INSURE UBC, UBC/ADM AND OTHR SITE MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES AND
SITE BUDGET INFORMATION AND UPDATES ARE PROVIDD TO ACH SITE MEMBER IN A
TIMELY MANNER.
16. AT UBC AND UBC/ADM METINGS ACT AS A ACILLITAOTR TO RESOLVE
MEMBERSHIP CONCRNS TO THE BENEFIT OF ALL CONCERNED AND TO ENFORCE EACH
UESF/SFUSD CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
17. MAINTAIN OPEN COMMUNICATIONS IN PERSON, THROUGH WRITTEN AND EMAIL
COMMUNICATIONS WITH EACH SITE MEMBER.
18. INSURE UBC AND UBC/ADM MINUTES ARE ACCURATELY RECORDED AND
COMMUNICATED TO EACH SITE MEMBER VIA MAIL AND HARDCOPY COMMUNICATION IN
A TIMELY MANNER.
19. CREATE AND PROVIDE APPROVED MONTHLY COMMON PLANNING TIME CALENDAR,
EMERGENCY COVERAGE STAFFING, PARAPROFESSIONAL STAFFING CALENDAR, AND
SITE AGREED TO POLICIES TO EACH SITE UESF MEMBER IN A TIMELY MANNER.
20. ACTIVELY AND OBJECTIVELY LISTEN TO THE CONCERNS OF EACH SITE US
MEMBER AND REPRESENT THOS CONCERNS WITH VIGILANCE ON THEIR BEHALF.
