Uniform:
1. Students shall be required to wear uniform white shirt/blouse and

hoody.
A. If student(s) enter room with non-uniform sweater:
1. Students asked to remove garment.
2. If students refuse they are given a referral for defiance and sent
to attendance office.

contact parents/guardians

Buddy Room:
USED FOR LESSER INFRACTIONS WHICH MAY DISRUPT THE CLASSROOM, BUT ARE

· It was agreed that in most circumstances buddy rooms should be in
close proximity to each other to prevent hallway disruptions.
· There should be flexibility in cases where special Ed and general Ed
teacher have an agreement or in case of absence of teachers. No student
should be sent to a buddy room when teacher is absent.
· Security guards must constantly patrol classroom areas through out
school day and look in on teachersÕ classes occasionally to show a
presence.
· The administration must provide a detention room and staff it with
peer resource person, security guards, student advisors only using
counselors as a last resort. Location of buddy room must be within
building as in room 101 if possible.
· The library is not a buddy room, nor place to send disruptive
students without librarianÕs permission.

WALL DOES NOT CONSTITUE POSTING IT FOR ALL TO SEE SINCE MOST IF NOT ALL
PARENTS, NOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE BEEN NOTIIED. IN THE FUTURE THE
ROBOCALLS OR PHONE MAIL (WHATVER IT IS CALLED)SHOULD BE USED TO DO THIS
TO INFORM ALL MMBERS AS WELL AS SENT WITH PRINCIPAL MONTHLY MEWSLETTR.

WERE GIVEN TO YOU BY THE PRINCIPAL SO ARE IN VIOLATION OF OUR CONTRACT
IF BEING PRESENTED AS ANYTHING ELSE BUT INFORMATIONAL.

FROM FACULTY/STAFF AT THIS TIME. SO IT MUST FOLLOW OUR SHARED DECISION
MAKING PROCESS BEFORE THIS ISSUE EVEN REACHS THE SSC FOR SUCH A REVIEW
OR VOTE AS IT IS WORDED.

4. THE MOTION ON BUDGET MATTERS ALSO FALLS WITHIN OUR CONTRACT REQS AS
UBC PRIOR TO MOVING TO THE SSC.

5. AS MS GERBER AND I WEL KNOW THROUGH OUR MEETING WITH SFUSD'S
HEPPERLY AND RUIZ. THIS LATE START AND/OR EARLY DEPARTURE DOES NOT MEAN
STUDENTS WILL COME LATER OR LEEAVE EARLIER , BUT WILL REMAIN ON CAMPUS
WHILE W ARE AT THESE EXTENSIONS OF MEETING TIMES BEFORE OR AFTER
SCHOOL. THIS WILL REQUIRE DECISIONS ON STAFFING AND SCHEDULING
DECISIONS WITH UBC/ADM TO DETERMINE AN AGREEMENT ON THESE ISSUES. WE
NEED TO ALSO MAKE SURE IF INCIDENTS OCCUR DURING THIS MINIMAL COVERAGE
TIM THAT TEACHRS RESPONSIBL FOR THESE STUDENTS ARE NOT HELD
ACCOUNTABLE. THIS HAS NOT EVEN BEEN DISCUSSED. THSE BANKED MINUTES ARE
NOT AS WE WRE IRST LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT STUDENTS WOULD ARRIV LATR OR
LEAVE EARLIER. AS HEPPERLY TOLD THIS THEY CANNOT DO THIS BECAUSE O
SFUSD'S AGREEMENT WITH HIGH SCHOOL TEACHRS PRVENTS US BEING ALLOWE TO
DO THIS FOR BUSING REASONS. WHICH IS ODD BECAUSE SPCIAL ED BUSING
ISSUES AND COVERAGE CONCRNS IN ITHER EVNT HAVE BEEN TOTALLY
IGNORED.THUS WE AR BEING ASKD TO CARRY ON MEETINGS WHILE STUDNTS ARE
HERE EEARLY OF AFTER SCHOOL UNDER LIMITD HIGHLY QUALIFIED SUPERVISION ,
WHICH CREATS SOME POTENTIAL SERIOUS PROBLEMS.

6. TH PRINCIPAL DOES NOT HAV ANY AGREEMENT FROM PARENTS ON THIS MATTER
AND IT WAS TH UBC AND NOT THE PRINCIPAL WHO COMMUNICATED THIS LATE
START IDEA TO PARNTS , WHO PHONED COMPLAINTS TO SUSD REGARDING THESE
CONCERNS. HAVING 6 PARAS AND 2 SECURITY GUARDS SUPERVISE 512 STUDENTS
IN THE MORNING EVEN WITH 6 TO 8 AFTER SCHOOL STAFF WILL NOT INSURE
STUDENTS WILL BE CLOSELY MONITORED OR SUPEERVISED AS YOU WELL KNOW
DURING LUNCH EEVEN WITH COUNSELORS AND A FEW STAFF
THUS THIS WHOLE IDEA IS ONE WHICH NEEDS TO BE SERIOUSLY THOUGHT OUT
THROUGH OUR SHARED DECISION MAKING PROCESS ENDING WITH THE UBC, UBC/ADM
RESOLUTION BFORE IT CAN EVEN BE CONSIDERED BY THE SSC.

7. THUS THIS PROPOSAL NEEDS TO BEE REMOVED OR JUST PRESENTED IN A
GENERAL MANNER FOR SSC PARENT AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BE JUST INFORMED
ON WHAT IS BEING CONSIDERED OR THEIR INPUT.

8 THUS NITHER ISSUE PRESENTE AS A MOTION CAN BEE PRESENTED IN THIS
MANNER WITHOUT FOLLOWING OUR CONTRACTUAL DECISION MAKING PROCESS.

7.2.1.2 All teachers regularly assigned to a school shall be at their
respective
classrooms or other places of service at least fifteen (15) minutes but
not
more than thirty (30) minutes before the regular opening of school as
communicated by the administrator. The UBC, following consultation
with the faculty, may designate additional before or after school time
within the workweek described above.

THIS MEANS IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE UBC TO DETERMINE IF WE COME
IN LATER OR EARLIER IN REGARDS TO ANY EARLY DEPARTURE / LATE START ,
WHICH WILL REQUIRE SCHEDULING, STAFFING DECISIONS.

7.2.1.2.1 At sites where common planning time is built into the
schedule, the
minimum report time referred to in Section 7.2.1.2 shall be five (5) to
ten (10) minutes. Common planning time shall be used for the
following types of activities: team planning, student study teams,
parent conferences, curriculum development, faculty meetings and
other professional activities.

THIS ONCE MORE PUTS THE UBC IN THE MIDLE OF SUCH DECISIONS . FOR IF IT
IS A LATE START IT WILL REQUIRE UBC REVIEW ON WHAT GOES ON DURING THIS
TIME FRAME.

7.2.7 Teachers may be required to attend no more than two (2) faculty
meetings per
month, such time to be considered part of the work week described above.
Time for common planning time, after school parent events and all other
meetings shall be considered part of the workweek described above. This
time
shall be scheduled with the concurrence of the UBC, except in case of
emergency. Site administrations and UBCÕs are encouraged to complete the
yearÕs schedule within the first two weeks of the school year.

THIS ONCE MORE PUTS THE UBC IN THE MIDLE OF SUCH DECISIONS . FOR IF IT
IS A LATE START IT WILL REQUIRE UBC REVIEW ON WHAT GOES ON DURING THIS
TIME FRAME AND NOW REQUIRES UBC CONCURRENCE.

7.2.5.1.2.2.4 The rate of per diem pay for said assignments shall be
$200.

IF OUR HOURS OUR EXTENDED THIS WOULD ALSO OUR MEMBERS TO BE COMPENSATED
ACCORDINGLY.

25.1 At the site the duly elected Union Building Committee (UBC),
designed to
represent both UESF bargaining units, is responsible for implementing
and
enforcing provisions of this Agreement. The duly elected Union Building
Representative shall serve as the chair of this committee.

THIS MEANS UBC AND I SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THIS ADM PROPOSAL AND
DISCUSSED AN RESOLVED IT AT UBC/ADM METING PRIOR TO MOVING TO THIS
VENUE.


25.2 The Union Building Representative at each site represents UESF at
that site,
represents the site district-wide, and serves as liaison between the
faculty and the
site administration.

THIS MEANS I SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THIS ADM PROPOSAL TO DISCUSS
WITH UESF LEADERSHIP PRIOR TO PROCEEDING SINC LATE START/EARLY
DEPARTURE CONCERNS HAVE YET TO BE RESOLVED BY UESF/SFUSD

25.3.1 The site administrator shall meet at least once a month with up
to seven (7)
members of the Union Building Committee on matters of contract
administration. This committee shall also coordinate site elections to
identify
representatives for various other functions within the contract. The
UBC shall
have a place on the agenda at each faculty meeting, and shall have the
opportunity to make a brief statement/report on matters of Union
concern or
business.

THIS MEANS THE UBC SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THIS ADM PROPOSAL AND
DISCUSSED AND RESOLVED IT AT A UBC/ADM METING PRIOR TO MOVING TO THIS
SSC VENUE.

25.3.6 The UBC at each site shall have timely access to all pertinent,
nonconfidential
information available to site administration regarding staffing,
assignment, programming, facilities management and planning, staff
development, and budgeting, and including timelines and deadlines as
set by
district administration.

WE SHOULD HAV BEEN PROVIDED THIS PROPOSAL AHEAD OF TIME TO DISCUSS AT A
UBC/ADM MEETING PRIOR TO MOVING TO THIS VENUE.

25.3.7 The UBC shall meet with site administration to share information
and ideas
with the goal of achieving consensus agreement on matters of mutual
concern
regarding the operation of the site including staffing, assignment,
programming, facilities management and planning, staff development, and
budgeting,
and including timelines and deadlines as set by district
administration, and all other
matters pertaining to school policy and operations.

THIS ISSUE FALLS WITHIN MANY OF THESE CONCERNS AND THUS SHOULD HAVE
BEEN DISCUSSED AND RESOLVED AT OUR 11/21/08 UBC/ADM MEETING FOR
RESOLUTION, PRIOR TO MOVING TO SSC VENUE

25.3.9 In order to promote cooperation and a collegial relationship at
the school site,
the UBC and the administration are encouraged to work collaboratively.

WE SHOULD HAV BEEN PROVIDED THIS PROPOSAL AHEAD OF TIME TO DISCUSS AND
RESOLVE AT A UBC/ADM MEETING IN A COLLABORATIVE MANNR PRIOR TO MOVING
TO THIS VENUE.

Whereas the May 1st San Francisco Planning Committee has called for a
demonstration on Thursday, May 1st at 2pm in Dolores Park followed by a
Rally
at 5pm in the Civic Center; and
Whereas this is the 3rd consecutive May Day demonstration in the U.S.
and part
of a series of demonstrations across the country including Oakland, Los
Angeles,
Chicago, Washington D.C., New York and other locations; and
Whereas the central demands of the demonstration are calling an end to
ICE
[Immigration Customs Enforcement] raids in workplaces and communities,
no
more deportations, stop militarization of the border, opposition to the
guest
worker program and full legalization for all workers, native or
immigrant; and
Whereas this yearÕs demonstration happens after a year of racist
demonization of
immigrants which has lead to the spread of state laws restricting
immigrants
access to work and housing, as well has having created an environment
in which
far-right groups like the Minutemen can proliferate; and
Whereas, the state budget cuts and California fiscal problems will
likely see the
rise of the scapegoating of immigrants by politicians looking to direct
the anger of
Californians away from state officials and their corporate backers, and
onto the
most vulnerable in society; and
Whereas the AFL-CIO, the SF Labor Council, and UESF have taken a clear
position in opposition to attacks on immigrants and in support of the
rights of all
workers (including immigrants);
