schickenberg, mr. Alsip, AND mr. scerri.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE ONLY REQUIRED UBC/ADM AGREEMENT REGARDING OUR
SCHOOL SITE BEHAVIOR/ DISCIPLINE POLICY.

UNIVERSAL CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
1. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
2. COME PREPARED AND ON TIME
3. KEEP YOUR HANDS, FEET, AND OBJECTS, ETC TO YOURSELF
4. USE APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE. NO TEASING,SWEARING,BULLYING, OR PUTDOWNS.
5. NO DISRUPTIONS TO THE LEARNING PROCESS
CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
1. WARNING
2. FIVE MINUTE TIME OUT (WITH TEACHER DISCRETION)
3. TEN MINUTE TIME OUT (WITH TEACHER DISCRETION)
4. PARENT/GUARDIAN PHONE CALL
5. BUDDY ROOM-MAIN OFFICE REFERRAL
6. IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION
*** ARTICLE 22 CLASSROOM SUSPENSION BY TEACHER
THE SALZMAN: TEACHER LOGS, PARENT CONTACT LOGS, STUDENT SIGN IN LOGS,
AND ANY OTHER DISCUSSED SALMAN PAPER RECORD KEEPING WAS AGREED TO BE
USED AT TEACHER DISCRETION AND IS VOLUNTARY ACCORDING OUR UBC/ADM
AGREEMENT LAST YEAR. IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THESE RECORD KEEPING DEVICES
OR SOMETHING OF YOUR OWN OR ANOTHER RECORD KEEPING IS UP TO YOU AND IS
VOLUNTARY.

THE UBC AND FACULTY MEMBERS AT OUR UBC LUNCH TIME MEETINGS ARE CREATING
A NEW SCHOOL WIDE DISCIPLINE PLAN WE WILL ALL BE ABLE TO UNIFORMLY
ENFORCE TOGETHER IN UNISON WITH SPECIFIC ADHERED TO CONSEQUENCES AND
PREVENTATIVE MEASURES . WE NEED YOUR ATTENDANCE , IDEAS AND
PARTICIPATION TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT THIS PLAN TOGETHER. YOU ARE THE
FUTURE OF OUR SCHOOL AND YOU INPUT WILL BE VALUABLE TO THIS PROCESS
PLEASE ATTEND OUR UBC LUNCH TIME MEETINGS THIS MONDAY AND ON UNTIL WE
COMPLETE THIS IMPORTANT EFFORT. WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION THIS PROCESS
WILL FINALLY BE SUCCESSFUL.

· MANY NEW TEACHERS HAVE ALSO EXPRESSED CONCERN ABOUT THE NUMBER OF NEW
TEACHER MEETINGS THEY ARE BEING REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
· TEACHERS HAVE ALSO EXPRESSED AT BEING ASKED TO TAKE ON ADDITIONAL
RESPONSIBILITIES ON TOP OF ATTEMPTING TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL TEACHERS AND
COMPLETING CONTINUING CREDENTIALLING REQUIREMENTS.
· ALLAN BRILL OUR UESF FIELD REPRESENTATIVE STATED TO SITE MANGEMENT
TODAY THAT THIS PUTS NEW TEACHERS IN AN UNCOMFORTABLE POSITION .
BECAUSE IT IS FELT IF THEY RESPOND IN THE NEGATIVE TOTHE MANAGER
EVALUATING THEM IT MAY BE USED NEGATIVELY IN THEIR EVALUATIONS UNTIL
THEY BECOME TENURED.
· MISTLI PARTICIPATION ACCORDING TO SFUSDÕS LABOR RELATIONS DIRECTOR
TOM RUIZ , SEPTEMBER OF 2006 STATED THIS PARTICIAPTION IS ONLY
VOLUNTARY AND CANNOT BE USED IN YOUR EVALUATION SHOULD NOT WISH TO
PARTICIPATE OR ATTEND THESE MEETINGSÉ.ETC
· THE UNION HAS INFORMED SFUSD THAT TEACHERS SHOULD BE EVALUATED ON THE
TEACHER STANDARDS AND NOT EXTRANEOUS, ARBITRARY OR INCIDENTAL
PREDILECTIONS OF INDIVIDUAL SITE MANAGERS WHICH CREATES AN
UNCOMFORTABLE WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT.
· YOU ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO ATTEND ÒTWO FACULTY MEETINGSÓ AND FACULTY
MEETINGS UNDER THE GUISE OR NAME OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WHICH ALL
FACULTY ARE TOLD TO ATTEND, INVITED TO ATTEND, OR TOLD TO ATTEND ARE
MERELY VOLUNTARY UNLESS AGREED TO BY THE FACULTY/UBC AS A WHOLE BODY
WITH CONCURRENCE.
· ADDITIONAL MEETINGS CAN ONLY BE CALLED IF AGREED TO BY A MAJORITY OF
RESPECTIVE FACULTY GROUPS, SUCH AS GRADE LEVEL, DEPARTMENT, AND OR NEW
TEACHERS GROUP.
· THUS NEW TEACHERS AS A FACULTY GROUP MAY VOTE TO HOLD AND ADDITIONAL
MEETING OR A NEW MEETING IS NOT NECESSARY. YOU CANNOT BE COERCED INTO
HOLDING AN ADDITIONAL MEETING AND SHOULD YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE ,COME TO
OUR UBC MEETING SO UBC REPRESENTATIVES WILL CLARIFY YOUR RIGHTS AND
PROTECTIONS IN THIS CONCERN.

CONCERN IS YOUR WELL BEING AND TO INSURE YOUR RIGHTS EVEN AS UNTENURED
